Infosys Further Strengthens Commitment to Responsible AI, Collaborates with Two Global Initiatives – C2PA and AIGA
Infosys has become a member of two esteemed global initiatives, the Coalition of Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), a project of the Joint Development Foundation, a San Francisco based non-profit for standard development, and the Artificial Intelligence Governance Alliance (AIGA), an initiative led by the World Economic Forum's Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Infosys has joined the C2PA (Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity), which helps to tackle the prevalence of misleading information available online. The C2PA publishes Content Credentials, a technical standard that displays the source and history of media content. As a member, Infosys is actively contributing to the initiative, refining the C2PA standard and developing frameworks, tools, and techniques to authenticate AI-generated content. Infosys plays a key role in promoting Content Credentials, the tamper-proof standard for embedding creation and modification history within digital content. As machine-generated content proliferates, robust provenance tracking becomes crucial. Continuous improvement is essential, encompassing both the standard itself and compatible tools. Infosys, with its commitment to Responsible AI (RAI) and ethical governance, leverages its expertise to collaborate with C2PA members, ensuring a mature and reliable content provenance standard benefits the entire ecosystem and public.
As a member of AIGA, Infosys will help create global AI systems that are growth-driven, ethical, transparent, and inclusive to drive industry advancements. Infosys will participate in two critical working groups within this alliance. The first group, Safe Systems and Technologies, will focus on the safety and security of AI technologies. The second group, Resilient Governance and Regulations, will focus on strengthening the frameworks to govern the use of AI and ensure they are robust and adaptable to new challenges. Through this engagement, Infosys will also help policy and decision makers identify actionable AI governance and help them keep pace with global opportunities and risks arising from generative AI.
Infosys will leverage its Infosys Topaz Responsible AI Suite for these two initiatives. The Infosys Topaz Responsible AI Suite is a set of 10+ offerings built around the Scan, Shield, and Steer framework, and includes automated guardrails, processes, and governance mechanisms while maintaining operational efficiency. It aims to monitor and protect AI models and systems from risks and threats, while enabling businesses to apply AI responsibly. The offerings, across the framework, include a combination of accelerators and solutions designed to drive responsible AI adoption across enterprises.
